Contact

The Krafty Librarian has a Facebook fan page, where you can see what she is doing in medical libraries.  Her tweets (on Twitter as Krafty), blog posts, and slides from presentations can all be found on the Facebook fan page.

If you are interested in contacting her to speak at your meeting, you can either contact her by email through the fan page or you can contact her via the email address she has on file with the Medical Library Association.

**Please note if you try to email her at the email that ends with [atsign]kraftylibrarian[dot]com, she gets A LOT of spam mail and sometimes legit emails get diverted accidentally into the Bulk folder.

So the best way is to contact her is post on her wall on the Facebook fan page, follow her on Twitter and then direct message her at Krafty on Twitter or use the email on file at MLA.

  1. Hi ,

My name is Patrick and I’m a Community Outreach Specialist at Open Colleges. I’m also a regular visitor of your site and I remember this page of yours: http://kraftylibrarian.com/ .

I noticed you linked to various sites about plagiarism so I’d like to give you a heads up about this page http://newsroom.opencolleges.edu.au/teacher-resources/plagiarism/ and ask about how I can get it included into the list.

I look forward to your feedback! And if you have any questions, I’m all ears. 😀
    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Patrick Del Rosario

  2. It would appropriate for accuracy purposes to remove the offending article that your website has published and write a correction article similar to the bmj suggesting that they have been cleared. You have written above that the doctors have plagiarised the app which the gmc found unfounded

Since publishing this the gmc have cleared the doctors for plagiarism and no evidence of such activity was found

  3. Do you know someone who has developed an app to help get information to their patrons? Maybe you know of an innovative way that a library is using technology to better serve a specific group of people. If so, consider nominating a colleague for the Thomson Reuters/Frank Bradway Rogers Information Advancement Award.

The award is presented annually in recognition of outstanding contributions in the application of technology to the delivery of health sciences information, to the science of information, or to the facilitation of the delivery of health sciences information. The award is sponsored by Thomson Reuters. The recipient receives a certificate and a cash award of $500.

Deadline for applications is November 1.
Complete information and nomination forms can be found at http://www.mlanet.org/awards/honors/

  4. Michelle,
Who out there in libraryland is successfully getting the library resources connected to the new wave of EHR roll outs? I’m thinking of applying for an MLA scholarship that will help me answer this question. Plus, we here in Eastern AHEC (North Carolina) are rolling out EHRs to practices all over the region–to be done by 2012. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
    Jeff

PS–hope you are doing well. Sorry about the Browns though.
